Los Glaciares National Park

El Chalten, Argentina, 2017

We arrived in El Chalten eager to see Mount Fitz Roy and hike much anticipated Laguna de Los Tres.  Unfortunately, Mount Fitz Roy has a naughty reputation for burying its majestic head in the clouds. It would take nearly a week for the rains to stop and the clouds to clear. In the meantime, we passed the time by exploring the road to Lago del Desierto. It's a beautiful drive that's well worth the detour from El Chalten and yet another reason to explore Argentina overland.
