The Medina
Chefchaouen, Morocco, 2006
Children climbing blue stairs somewhere inside Chefchaouen's medina. Chefchaouen is a city best explored by getting lost. It's easy enough to do. Leave the map behind and lose yourself in the labrinth of narrow blue-white passageways. Follow whatever path peaks your curiosity. Who knows where it might lead. A spice shop? The Grand Mosque? Someone's home? A dead end? We have no idea where these stairs lead. Perhaps we'll return one day and find out.
