Ride the Arctic

I took this photo of Sheri with Bumble Bee, her trusty BMW F650GS, on the Dalton Hwy. Both are donning war paint gained from a muddy ride up to Deadhorse. For many, riding the Dalton is a rite of passage. For Sheri, it was both a rite of passage and a baptism by fire as she only learned to ride shortly before departing for Alaska.  Our ride to Alaska was a cold, rainy, and windy affair over a mixed bag of tar, sand, and dirt. A steep learning curve but ideal training for the cold and muddy conditions we found at the Arctic Circle.
