Searching for Condors

A frosty morning searching for giant condors above the Ibanez River Valley in Chilean Patagonia. When we poked our heads above the rocks, we saw two people sitting on the rocks just in front of us. Strangely, however, there were no footprints in the snow. On closer inspection we realized we were staring at a pair of giant condors. During the two months we spent around Cerro Castillo, we made multiple trips up to this picturesque perch to have our morning tea and watch condors soar over the valley. The Ibanez River Valley is beautiful any time of year but blanked in snow it's spectacular.
